There is Birth, there is death and in between there is maintenance
(-Tom Robbins). Everything around us works on this principle. Same is the case
with our Cars. Driving them properly and nicely Is not enough to keep them high;
maintenance plays a major role in doing so. We deserve the best, so as our Cars.
Considering you have invested a lot of your money into the vehicle of your
dreams, maintenance needs to be taken seriously.
Here are some factors to consider:
·
Safety: Safety is priceless. So, your car
must be safe every time when you drive it. Safety can’t take a chance.
Maintenance has a direct impact on safety of your vehicle. Considering the brakes,
if they aren’t maintained time to time, they can be very harmful for us. Not
only the brake pads but brake oil level and all must be checked. Checking
electricals of the vehicles is also necessary to keep things such as airbags,
lights, sensors working perfectly.
·
Environment-Friendly: Keeping our
surroundings clean and green should be our utmost consideration these days and you
can contribute towards it in a very simple way – maintaining your car well.
More ill maintained a car is, more it will pollute the environment. If your
Engine Oil is very old, the engine will start exhaling black smoke due to unnecessary
C deposits inside it. This will harm both environment as well as the environment.
Using a clean unleaded fuel is also a gamechanger to reduce the emissions.
·
Performance: Who doesn’t want performance
from their machines. We upgrade our vehicles only to extract more and more
performance from the engine. But, most of us are unable to extract the optimal performance
due to various environmental factors, not good fuel and lack of maintenance. If
your tyres are worn out, there won’t be adequate inflation in them as is
required by your car, this will result in creating stress on the engine to work
harder than it should, which will lead to early-aging of the engine.
·
Mileage: Though mileage depends on our
driving style, but timely servicing and maintenance are also crucial. A perfectly
maintained car will give you a better mileage. If the engine oil is not changed
for ages, it will burn and damage the engine very severely. It may cause permanent
C deposits which are unremovable, this will lead to engine working harder to
produce the optimal horsepower but will drink in more fuel to do that.
Electricals may become faulty in a rainy season and affect the fuel injection
of your car. More clean and swift the engine is, less is the fuel it will drink.
·
Resale: A major factor which many car
owners consider is resale. Resale does depend on the age of your vehicle but maintenance
has a major role in attracting a better price. A well-maintained car will sell
easily than an ill-maintained one. No one will consider buying a car that has
gone through a tough time. Monthly maintenance also decreases the repair cost
if something goes wrong. This will also help in keeping the paint on your car
young and lustrous, which will help in gaining a better resale value of your
car.
Conclusion: If we eat good and do our workouts regularly,
we all know we will have a long and healthy life. Maintaining our vehicle is equivalent
to our workout, the more we do, more we remain fit. A proper maintenance record
will lead to a longer life of your vehicle. Maintenance will never do something
wrong but not maintaining will definitely do many things wrong. So, a healthy
car life just depends on you and your maintenance.
